Josefin Skullbacka

During her 10 years in the language industry, Josefin has worked with a large number of international businesses as a translator and editor. Following her degree in creative writing and journalism in London, she worked as a translator, editor, proofreader and financial writer for a well-known media company before ultimately setting up as a freelance writer and translator in 2008, which coincided with the birth of Lingoleaf.

Josefin enjoys a constant stream of repeat requests from clients who are impressed with her eye for detail, accuracy and commitment. She fills her days with writing and translating press releasesnewsletters and web content for various European and UK-based clients, and with legal, financial and medical translation and proofreading assignments for her long-standing, international and UK-based clients. Her hobbies include reading translated fiction and she is currently also working on her first novel.

Growing up in Finland, where she became fluent in three languages (SwedishFinnish and English) at an early age, she also studied German and French for several years. Since moving to the UK in 1998, she has added Norwegian and Danish translation work to her list of accomplishments. She is a member of the Society of Authors and the Translators Association, and an active member of the Anglo-Finnish Society.
